GMK

Evolution of my Poker

My favorite keyboard, the Poker, has gone through many looks… here’s the evolution it’s gone through over the years.

Things began simple and clean, GMK’s Orange on Charcoal was my first keyset purchase (these can be purchased over at Originative). The case is a silver aluminum case manufactured by Hammer, it totally makes the keyboard feel super solid due to it’s heft and thickness.

Next, was an attempt at the classic Olivetti look, which is basically the standard, Blue legends on White alphas and Gray modifiers. I went with IMSTO’s PBT dyesub set from a Geekhack group buy, but there’s actually quite a few other options available that I would recommend over it, simply because of the non-matching white capslock.

Le Bleu

My poker went through a weird phase that resembled something from the 90’s, here’s the Orange/Charcoal set again with GMK purple modifiers I was lucky enough to acquire. As much as I love the color Orange and Purple, this look was not for me.

Purple Drank

Finally settled back on my first love, orange. Added orange LEDs, Hack Orange Click-Clack novelty keycap and reverted back to the orange on charcoal set. Still very happy with this look and don’t foresee moving away from it again… but who knows, things change!

What’s next you ask? I’ve recently received my first Korean custom keyboard, the LZ-FE (LifeZone FinalE). Cheers
